Combat Fishing - Anchorage

Downtown Anchorage, between the Railroad Station and the Ulu Factory flows Ship Creek.

The Salmon were just beginning to return up the rivers and creeks to spawn.

What you are viewing is called "Combat Fishing", in its milder form. Generally the fishermen are even closer to
each other enhancing the changes of tangling their lines.

Yep, above this huge King Salmon was just caught here.

And this fellow has already cut and drained his fish. It was so large the head and tail stuck out each side of his cooler.



This grand building is the Railroad Building.
