Few more of Kennecott Mill, McCarthy & Moose

After a long day driving in to Kennecott Mill and
returning on the bad roads, we were rewarded
with this gorgeous sunset.

Don spotted these 2 moose crossing the water.

A few pictures of quaint McCarthy.

Above is the Kennecott Lodge. You can stay for a modest fee of $245/night, which includes meals.
Or the $185 without meals. But the point is that
Kennecott is a nice, quiet area to kick back and
watch all the tourists flow through.

The 14 story mill where tours are offered. Can you imagine walking around all 14 floors of a building that has not been used since 1938? Well, we probably would have if we had gotten there before the tours ended for the day.

Apparently not all the buildings belong to the National Park and the 2006 flood did not help a lot of the buildings.
