Seward - Nash Drive to Sunrise Point

We took the drive down Nash Road to see what it looked like at the end; were we surprised.

Arctic Daisy

One can only hope to see a Bear or Moose in an inland body of water as pretty as this one was. I did say Hope. We didn't see either.

These look like lobster traps and their accompanying buoys waiting to be put to work in the waters.

We found this Coast Guard ship at the end of the road, hiding behind the building, apparently in for repairs. Look carefully in the box like structures and you see they open to different areas of the boat that a person is working on. It is a unique way to reach all parts of the boat without having to use ladders.

And we saw many fascinating boats at the end of the road.

Jerry and Don were ready to buy one and get into the charter fishing business. Yea, right!

Finally, the reason for Sunrise Point. There is a small campground out here, it does come to a point and maybe the sun does raise from this direction. We are never up to see in which direction the sun rises.
