Heading north from North Ranch, Congress AZ

Leaving North Ranch Don choose the scenic Joshua Forest Parkway (state 93) through Kingman, across Hoover Dam and on to Las Vegas.

We saw more Joshua trees along the Parkway than we did in Joshua National Park. Most of the trees were in bloom. We also saw a few pink and scarlet cacti in bloom on the desert floor along with some white and yellow wild flowers.
It was apparent the scenic drive was just that; mountains everywhere, curving roads and on to different landscape-the Saguaro cactus

And a land of highway rockways

and of stacked rocks
Yellow bush trees and yellow flowers are the spring beauty of the northern Arizona desert. Can you believe it? Even in the desert you must keep your eyes open or you will miss Snoopy on his rocket. TTFN
